The licensee and authorized users may incorporate parts of the licensed materials into electronic reserve collections (or electronic course readings), which are collections of electronic copies of materials made and stored on a secure network, including a course management system such as Avenue, for use by students in connection with specific courses of instruction.

The licensee may incorporate parts of the licensed materials into print course packs, which are compilations of materials such as articles and book chapters by an academic institution for use by its students in a class for the purposes of instruction.  Please note that as of the summer 2022 term, couseware is no longer being coordinated by the library.  We are transitioning content to the eReserves program.  If you would like to learn more about this program, please email us at ereserve@mcmaster.ca

Posting or scanning articles or book chapters on personal and course websites or in a course management system such as Avenue is generally not allowed. Please create a persistent or durable link to the material instead.  See Linking to e-Resources for information on ways to construct links for proxied off-campus access.

You may make print and electronic copies for personal use.
